Salt Lake Life

It has been so fun living together in Salt Lake.  We have been busy with school starting and Jake working so hard, but we always find a little time to have fun with friends and family.
School will soon take over my life... but until then...

Jake's job at the Canyons has a few perks. Okay, one huge one. We both get free season passes :)  This is so awesome because we wouldn't be snowboarding much at all without them.  Poor college kids can't afford hobbies like that.  We are so lucky.  So any day that Jake has off, we try to hit the slopes.

It was my nephew Logan's birthday on the 7th of January. 2 years old!  We couldn't make it up to Boise for the party but we loved all the pictures that we saw, he is such a funny little boy!  We miss him!   Happy Birthday Logan!!

It was also my father-in-law's birthday on the 8th of the month.  We met the in Layton for a birthday dinner at Red Lobster.  It was fun to see everyone and the food was delicious.

Mike and Amber

The birthday boy with his two grandkids!
Jeff, Carolyn Camden and Estee.

We have had some friends over to our new house for dinner and to play games but I never got my camera out. Surprising, I know :)  It is fun having people over to our new house!  Its is also great to live close to other friends to be able to visit them.

This weekend we went on a double with two of our good friends Aaron and Kelsie.  We went to dinner at Simply Thai and then went to Keys on Main to a Dueling Piano Bar.  It was very entertaining and the guys playing the piano were amazing.

You could request any song and they would play and sing that song.  If someone didn't like the song, they could request a different one and tip one dollar over the price of the first request and they would start playing the other song. It was pretty awesome.  There was some fun people watching too!

We are enjoying living in Salt Lake with so many fun things to do.  If anyone has fun ideas for cheap dates, let us know, or we could double!

I didn't recognize Amber with her hair dark! It's cute. Glad you guys are having lots of fun snowboarding and just being together!
We went to a great little place called the Creperie last weekend that we've got to take you guys to sometime! It was de-lish! They serve all kinds of dinner and dessert crepes and italian sodas. Yummy!! I just kept thinking, "Court would love this!" the whole time we were there!
