"would you rather?"

Have you ever played this game?  I have played it for years.  I might have invented it.
Now you could buy at Target.
It can produce hours of entertainment.
We used to play it when I did road construction.
For hours, 10 - 12 hours to be exact.

We came up with the best "would you rather"s ever.  We played it at sleepovers, we played it on bus rides, it is the BEST game.  Here are a few examples if you don't know what this marvelous game is.

Would you rather sit in an outhouse for 8 hours
or
stand on the side of the road holding a stop/slow sign?

Would you rather hear peoples thoughts
or
have x-ray vision?

Would you rather bounce when you toot
or
pee when you laugh?

The question for the day is...

Would you rather sit in a research class for 3 LONG BORING hours
or
a human dissection lab for 3 hours?

I know about 99% of you are thinking, duh, research.
Nope, I would like to declare that I would rather be dissecting.
Strange as that seems, and how much I hated dissecting, this research class is SO BORING.

Today in class, we went over a powerpoint, reviewed our assignment and got out tests back and went over the questions people missed.
That could take maybe 45 minutes.... nope 3 HOURS.

{hitting the} slopes

Jake's parents came for a visit last weekend.
We gave Jeff a day of skiing for his birthday so he cashed in on a beautiful day at Canyons!

The night before we went to Benihana's for a late birthday celebration for me!

We got a little sushi, and I'm not gonna lie, I liked it.

It was so entertaining and so delish!

They gave me some ice cream...

and sang me a birthday song!

 Make a wish...

The next day was a perfect beautiful skiing day.
Wish come true!

We took a break and sat in these marvelous chairs and soaked up some rays.

It was a perfect ski day!

love songs

Every year for Valentines day I make myself a valentine's mix.  I pride myself in my amazing mixes and my valentine mix does not disappoint.  I usually share the wealth and make copies for my girlfriends but this year I have been so dang busy, I haven't had time to make copies for my girls.... sorry :)  I thought I'd just tell you my fabulous list of songs that made the cut this year.

1. Long Hot Summer - Keith Urban
2. Bloom - Mae
3. Skinny Genes - Eliza Doolittle
4. Felt Good On My Lips - Tim McGraw
5. All Day Long - Billy Currington
6. Rhythm of Love - Plain White T's
7. King of Anything - Sara Bareilles
8. Marry Me - Train
9. Just a Dream - Nelly
10. Bridges - Windsor Drive
11. I Do - Colbie Caillat
12. Don't You Wanna Stay - Jason Aldean w/ Kelly Clarkson
13. Some Kind if Wonderful - Michael Buble
14. Strip Me - Natasha Bedingfield
15. Closer - Corinne Bailey Rae
16. Let Me Down Easy - Billy Currington
17. Sparks Fly- Taylor Swift
18. There Goes My Baby - Usher
19. Just The Way You Are - Bruno Mars
20. Closer to Love - Mat Kearney

If you haven't heard one of these songs, shame on you.  They are all SO GOOD.
Another note about my valentine's mixes... they aren't all gooey love songs.  They are happy cheery songs that make you feel good.  Not depressing love songs that make you cry if you aren't in love, just feel good songs.

So if you come and visit me, I will make you a CD.  Those are the stipulations :)

And Keith... if you are reading this, you are #1 on the list for a reason...
will you be my valentine?

Quarter of a Century

Well, I made it.
I survived my talk in church... and I made it to a quarter century old!
I turned 25 years old yesterday.
That seems a lot older that 24.
Oh well, i'm happy, healthy, and in love.

We have been celebrating my birthday for about a week, just the way i like it :) My parents came down last weekend and we had a really great time.

We went to Happy Sumo for dinner.  It was SO GOOD.

We went to see Harry Potter 7.
I think I might be a little obsessed with HP now.  We got the 6 CD set for Christmas so we have been having a Harry Potter marathon since then.  We were so excited to finally see the new one.
I can't wait for the last one to come out!

I got some cute new clothes from my parents, and an ADORABLE entry way table.  Pictures to come soon!  My mom and I had a fabulous day shopping at IKEA and some cute little shops in SLC.  Jake and my dad had a nice relaxing day until dinner and HP.  That sunday was when we had to speak in church.  It was great to have my parents there so I could look out and see a familiar face in the crowd, since we are in a new ward.  We had an awesome time with my parents.  I am so grateful for them and everything they do for us.
Love you Mom and Dad!

This past Saturday night I had a little birthday shindig.
It was a blast.  It was so good to get together with good friends and just have some fun.

 Cake and sparkler candles!

Ice cream and various favorite toppings, brought to you by the party guests :)

Tommy and Jake, eating some ice cream.

 Michelle and Brad

 Amanda and Landon

 MMMM, yummy ice cream!

 Michelle and I

A little Wii Michael Jackson experience.

The Way You Make Me Feel

Well, thats it, the big 25.

Then yesterday, we went to Logan for our niece Estee's baby blessing.  It was a great day and it was good to see all of Jake's family.  We watched the Superbowl and celebrated my birthday.

I had lots of help to blow out the candles!

Thanks everyone for the great day and all of the birthday wishes!
